Barista wanted people to be actively exposed to the way he made coffee.
So, We have made Barista's workspace as large as possible, for the powerful reason that the largest one can be seen best.
Space is defined by the maximum size of the workspace. We designed such spaces as walls, benches, inspired by the curves of the work table.
The existing walls were glued with brick tiles except for the new wall. It was necessary to discard the honest nature of the bricks.
It was more important to increase the size of the work table.
We cut some of the 50 real bricks of the new curved wall with grinder. Then We mixed the cut bricks with the intact bricks.
Later I ordered the constructor not to separate the bricks but to pile them up to pass light through a brick.
The facade is transparent and has no decoration.
This is because nothing but transparency can achieve the purpose of showing the workspace of barista.

오너 바리스타인 클라이언트는 그가 커피 내리는 모습을 사람들에게 보이길 원했다.
많은 것들이 섞인 공간에서 하나를 드러내는 가장 효과적인 방법은 크기를 키우는 것이다.
가장 큰 것이 가장 잘 보인다.
제한적인 임대 공간 안에서 작업공간을 최대치로 키웠다.
그 후, 나머지 것들은 분위기를 보조하는데 사용되었다. 가구나, 벽 같은 것들은 순전히 작업테이블에서 모티프를 얻어온 것이다.
기존 벽에는 잘라낸 벽돌 타일을 본드로 붙였다. 이 행위는 벽돌의 재료성을 훼손하지만, 이 프로젝트에서 중요한 것은 재료 따위가 아니고
볼륨이었기 때문에 크게 개의치 않았다. (벽돌을 타일 크기로 자르지 않았다면, 작업공간이 그만큼 작아졌을테니까)
유일한 진실된 벽은 가운데 새로 생긴 벽인데, 벽돌은 50개를 그라인더로 잘라내고, 섞은 다음, 조적공에게 쌓고 싶은대로 쌓으라고 주문했다.
빛이 투과되는 느낌이 좋고, 수직 그리드의 질서를 임의로 훼손시킨 점이 좋다.앞으로 서울에서 작업할 때, 무엇인가 개념적으로 전환할 수 있는 단서를 얻은 것 같다.
파사드는 투명하다. 내부 작업 공간을 보이는데 투명한 유리보다 효과적인 것은 없다.
