This project responds to the question, 'How does this space stand out to those who walk?' The answer is to make the inside curious.

This is a one-person restaurant run by the owner chef. Chef rented a small one of the commercial buildings of a large residential complex.
This place is a lot of people walking out of the way. But as in a typical residential complex, the building is filled with many small shops.
Each store tends to have a transparent window to show the interior of the maximum, or to have a folding door, intended for full openness.
Some shops, on the other hand, spend a lot of construction to construct an exterior that is not related to the building design.

The pursuit of maximum transparency in multi-storey buildings is relatively safe in that it informs its existence.
However, the atmosphere is damaged by the disappearance of the interior and exterior boundaries.
On the other hand, the method of constructing an independent facade was not reasonable in terms of the total cost of the project,
and it was excluded from the option because it was difficult to imagine harmony with the existing building.

The facade of the project is similar to a small gallery or clothing store. Works or mannequins are displayed in the front space,
followed by a dining room. (Client is going to attach a picture of his cooking to the round wall.)

The shape of the round wall is largely inspired by Richard Serra's works, and the exaggerated curves of the inner
scale give different feelings depending on where people look at the space. Inside the wall, there are chairs that run along the wall,
and diners look back or look at the wall. This created a dark interior that had nothing to do with the road outside.
(The exterior of the store is always overly bright due to the lighting of the residential complex)

The kitchen is open, with a warehouse for luggages behind a stainless wall.
Since the restaurant operates as a single restaurant, the movement of the chef is as simple as possible.
The deep bar table acts as a buffering device to keep guests watching what the chef is cooking,
the conversation between the guests and the chef's actions are not interrupted by each other.

The furniture is made of the same materials and colors as the wood that makes up the space,
and the shape is detailed from the wooden columns used in the space design.
By the time the construction was almost complete, people walking along the street looked inside the round walls,
and by then I realized that the design was working successfully.
